Learning in Room 6
We have been having such a busy time recently, with the EOTC and skiing programme keeping everyone entertained. We have welcomed Lilliana back from her long holiday and said "Goodbye" to Eva. Good luck in Wellington Eva. In between we have studied fractions in maths and even got to eat some! Yum, yum! In drama we are lucky to have the expertise of Gilly who we love learning with. Our Olympics inquiry has come to an end and I look forward to publishing some of the children's work soon. Our next Inquiry Unit is 'Fire Safety'. You will be receiving more information about that next week . We would like you to share in your children's learning about keeping themselves safe, by working through the home booklet and DVD with them.

PMP on Thursdays
Junior Art in EOTC
We had great fun drawing round our flowers, then finger painting to create beautiful colours. We practised our cutting out skills and added straws for stems. We think they are lovely!

Pet Rocks
As part of our inquiry "What is a pet?" we have been thinking about our own pets. Lots of us have living pets at home but some of us don't. We have been talking about why we might not be able to have an animal. As we want to learn about caring for pets we have all made a pet rock which we will be making a home for and looking after for a little while. We will think about what they need and our responsibilities when taking care of something.

Have fun playing games
Games to support and consolidate learning in the classroom have been added for you to play! I have played them myself and hope that you will have lots of fun playing them too. We will be playing these games in the classroom too so the children will soon become experts and will be able to show you how to play. Some activities will be practising skills we are learning and some will be for extension learning. The main thing is HAVE FUN.
